Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Nude Foundation Review

Eh up- I've gotta stop saying that! Well isn't this a treat- 2 posts in 3 days! I'm trying to get back to blogging more regularly- any suggestions on what you'd like to see? Let me know in the comments.

Anywho let's get on with this post as I have a sore head from altogether too much wine!

I got this foundation over a week ago and instantly I've fallen in love. I've put aside my Match Perfection and wake me up and the new kid in town has taken over.

Coverage

Rimmel say this is a medium coverage foundation. I would agree with this, it's along the same lines of coverage as the wake me up foundation but it just seems to hide a multitude.

I've been having a few crappy skin days recently and this has been really doing the job. I don't have to layer it and i've not been using all that much concealer either and it just seems to work. It also does a good job at hiding my pores which is a massive plus for me.

Bad lighting but L-R Without foundation, with just foundation, full makeup.

Finish

This claims to be a 'skin perfecting' nude foundation. I would also agree with this, are you sensing a theme yet?
It's a bit more matte than i'm used to, it has no shimmer or shine like wake me up but it also isn't flat or cakey looking nor does it cling to dry areas or 'peach fuzz'. It really just looks like smoother skin to me.

Colour Range

There are 8 shades to chose from- not bad going for a budget (drugstore) foundation. I have the shade 100 Ivory which is pretty pale as I am but there are 2 shades lighter than that for you gorgeous fairer girls.

Lasting Power

So the clue is in the title- Rimmel claim that this lasts 25 hours and while I don't tend to stay up for 25 hours or want to wear makeup for that long, it does last a hell of a long time.

I generally put it on at around 7am and get home from work at around 6pm and it is still really nice. I don't tend to powder an awful lot, I don't really use primer. It's just a really good long lasting foundation.

It does take a wee bit of getting off but I always double cleanse anyway and it has not broken me out at all which is a big bonus.

Overall

I blooming love the stuff. If you are in the market for a long lasting medium coverage budget foundation then this might be the one for you. It's RRP is £7.99 but at the moment it's on the 2 for £10 deal at boots here and Buy one get one half price at Superdrug here (also free deliver over £10.

If you want to see me apply this and hear my lovely Northern Irish lilt (hahaha) then you can do so here:
