So here is what I used...
You'll notice there is only one base product- my new Rimmel Lasting Finish Nude Foundation in Ivory- I haven't been using powder in the morning with this. I'm going to do a complete review of this soon but so far so good.
I applied this with my real techniques buffing Brush.
I used my gorgeous Sleek Rose Gold- just enough colour so you don't look dead but not too much so perfect when you are going a bit heavier on the eyes or lips or in my case probably both-more is more and all that!
It also has a gorgeous gold shimmer so it's a 2 in one highlight and blush making it easier and quicker in the morning.
This is where a wee bit of effort went in. I took my eye primer from Absolute cosmetics all over the lid and applied my Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Metallic Pomegranate all over the movey bit- not to neatly. I then took a crease brush from eBay and blended it out with Sexy (the reddish brown colour) from my TheBalm Nudetude palette- taking that into the crease.
For a bit of definition I took a bit of the black colour, called serious, from the same palette on the outer corner on the same crease brush and blended well. then taking a dampened angled brush took the same black along my lash line instead of liner.
To finish I used my trust they're real mascara from benefit- about 3 coats from the same dip into the tube.
I forgot to include what I used on my brows in my original makeup pic above so here it it.
I took tease from My Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette (pictured in the swatch) on an angled brush to define and fill in the sparse areas. I find that this is a great colour for my brows.
I then took My grubbily looking Browdrama from Maybelline in Dark Blonde all over to set and add a bit more colour to my very fair brows.
haha look at all my freckles!
Lastly I went onto lips. After deliberating over what would go with my eyes, I decided I wanted something not to heavy or dark but also not light and with a bit of shine so I went for this Seventeen Lip Crayon in Knockout. It's a nice berry colour and not too opaque but with a good lasting power and a nice sheen.
Fun Fact- this was my first ever lip crayon and certainly not my last!
Day to Night
I've worn this makeup for 11 hour so far today and I'd be very happy to touch up my lippy and go for after work drinks the way it is however, if you wanted to vamp it up for night time, here is how I'd do it:
1) Change the lip- I'd probably either go darker or glossier.
2) Add some bronze- A nice bit of shimmer bronzer on the high points of your face, neck and decollete.
3) Line your eyes. I'd take a liquid or gel along the top lash line and a black pencil along my waterline.
4) Add some falsies- As personal preference I usually don't wear lashes on a night out but if you do- go for it!
5) A bit more blush- especially if you are bronzing to bring some life back in.
There you have it- bit of a random post for me today. Hope you've enjoyed it and let me know if you did and if you'd like to see more!
