Makeup Rumours After Dark Palette Review

Like I mentioned in my previous 2 Makeup Rumours posts, I got offered the chance of a £10 voucher to spend on their online store (I spent a bit more..oops!) and got a few bits to show you.

Next on my list is this After Dark Eyeshadow quad in shade 1- £1 or even less with discount codes below.

As the name quad would suggest, it comes with 4 shades, 2 shimmer, 1 glitter with a matte base and 1 matte:

The packaging is kind of illamasqua-esque in shape, the plastic seems sturdy and there is a little mirror at the bottom of the packaging. It comes with a sponge applicator which to me is neither use nor ornament to me but might be good if you are buying it for someone who doesn't have a plethora of makeup brushes.

The colours are (from left to right below) a bright white- glitter, a mid cool toned brown shimmer, a coppery gold shimmer and a matte brown.

They are quite pigmented- the matte brown in particular is very strong,

The formula is quite powdery and hard to blend. I've worn it for the last couple of days over primer and it has taken me quite longer to blend than my usual TheBalm/Urban Decay shadows.
Once blended they look lovely on the eyes as per below

I've been wearing these shadows for the past couple of days over primer.

The photo above (sorry about the lighting) shows the wearing of the shadows. The left picture was taken at 06:50 this morning and the right was taken at 18:30 this evening.
As you can tell the colour lasted really well, it faded a little but nothing to complain about at all. I've got higher end shadows that fade more.

I was impressed with this eyeshadow quad especially for £1. It took a bit of effort to work with but the colour and pigmentation was lovely and it lasted well.

Makeup rumours kindly gave me a 10% off code- loz10off which can be used in conjunction with their current 25% off code- 25off you can shop here

  1. Wow! £1! That's an incredible price and the pigmentation looks pretty decent, its a nice neutral quad. :-)

    1. Aint it just! I picked up a few more eyeshadow quads but don't want to litter my blog with the same brand over and over- 3 is enough lol xx
